AUBURN — Andrew Harris, executive director of L/A Arts, will return to the Auburn Art Club at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the United Methodist Church, Park Avenue. In October, Harris described the new Black Box Theatre to club members.

At the January meeting, Harris will present some staged readings of works by Dylan Thomas, including “Holiday Memory” and extracts from “Under Milk Wood” and “Quite Early One Morning.”

Harris said, “there will be a hint of costume to help denote time, minimal props to enhance the same and animation of the words to transform the words from page to stage.”

Harris, who trained as an actor/educator in London, is an affiliate artist at the Portland Stage Company and has appeared at the Public Theater in Lewiston, the Boothbay Opera House and on screen for the History Channel.

Evelyn Larrabee heads the Program Committee, assisted by Elizabeth Bell, Barbara Ring, Jane Norris and Elinor Brockway, all of Auburn.
