Livermore Falls 45, Carrabec 42

NORTH ANSON – After geting off to a slow start, Livermore Falls rallied back in the second and fourth quarters to pull out a 45-42 win over Carrabec in MVC action Thursday. 

Megan Therrien led the Andies (6-3) with 14 points, while Katherine Ventrella chipped in with 12. The Cobras jumped out to a 12-8 advantage before Livermore pulled into contention with a 14-7 second quarter run.

Carrabec was paced by MacKenzie Weiss with a solid 11-point effort, while Becca Bergeron chippd in with 10.  

Oak Hill 63, Belfast 35

WALES – Maggie Sabine scored 25 points and hauled down 26 rebounds in helping Oak Hill claim an overpowering 63-35 girls’ basketball victory Thursday over Belfast.

The Raiders (5-4) built leads of 19-11, 36-18 and 51-29 at the quarter breaks.

Jess Roberts chipped in with a career-high 13 points and Abby Goulet had 10 points. Lexi Nelligan was the only player to reach double figures for Belfast (1-8), finishing with 15 points.

Lisbon 52, Georges Valley 51

THOMASTON – Jessica Campbell found the net with just two minutes left in regulation to lift Lisbon to a 52-51 victory over Georges Valley in a hard-fought MVC girls’ basketball contest.

Amber Cloutier led the Greyhounds (6-2) with 17 points, while Renee Moore tallied 14 and Shelby Brannon added nine.

The Buccaneers (3-6) were paced by Jill Bradbury with a solid 16-point effort, while Kennedi Grover chipped in with 12. Lisbon jumped out to a 19-8 advantage in the first frame before Georges Valley’s offense got revved up. 

Brunswick 49, Oxford Hills 45

PARIS – Alexa Dearborn scored 18 points and Eliza Halmo added 10 to lead Brunswick to a 49-45 girls’ basketball victory over Oxford Hills.

The Vikings were leading 32-31 entering the final quarter, but Brunswick (7-2) erupted for 18 points in the final eight minutes for the win.

Alli Nolan led the Vikings with 12 points and Brooke Ladd had 11.

Messalonskee 77, |Mt. Blue 35

FARMINGTON – The Messalonskee girls’ basketball squad sprinted out to a 21-9 start, then capped the contest with a 28-8 fourth-quarter run to pull away for a 77-35 rout over Mt. Blue in a KVAC tilt Thursday.

Hanah Dexter led the Eagles with a game-high 26 points, while Holly Oliver tallied 17 and Abbey Stacey added 13. 

The winless Cougars (0-9) received 10 points from Jillian Perron, while Amy Hilton chipped in with six and Kaitlyn Bullen added five. 

Cony 45, Lewiston 31

LEWISTON – Allyssa Marston and McKenzie Dufour each scored 14 points as Cony erupted with 20 points in the third quarter and eventually shook off Lewiston with a 45-31 victory in a girls’ basketball game Thursday.

The winless Blue Devils (0-10) built a slim 11-8 lead at halftime after not scoring a basket in the second quarter. Lewiston held Cony to just one point in the first quarter.

For the Blue Devils, Atong Reyek and Jaime Swart each scored 11 points.

Edward Little 83, Erskine 39

AUBURN – Kayla Cummings scored 16 of her team-high 18 points in the first half Thursday night, powering Edward Little to an 83-39 KVAC girls’ basketball win over Erskine.

Francesca Lally nailed four 3-pointers on her way to 16 points. Kirsten Prue added 15 points for the Red Eddies (8-1).

Meryl Bond topped the Eagles (2-7) with nine points.

St. Dom’s 58, Monmouth 35

AUBURN – Allaina Murphy erupted for 25 points Thursday night, and Morgan Brown and Sarah Gosselin controlled the backboards for St. Dom’s in a 58-35 MVC girls’ basketball victory over Monmouth.

St. Dom’s (6-2) grabbed a six-point lead by the end of the first quarter and gradually extended it throughout. Brown picked up most of her 12 points on second-chance buckets.

Sierra Spencer scored 14 points to lead Monmouth (1-8).
