AUBURN — Drew Lupardo register a hat trick Wednesday to propel Edward
Little to 6-0 rout over Mt. Ararat in a boys’ hockey matchup on Wednesday.

Dylan Nadeau also contributed for the Red Eddies (6-3) with two
goals, while a single tally from Cody Russell completed the scoring. Alan Nelson made 14 saves for EL to notch the shutout. After a slow
one-goal start in the first period, Edward Little added four more in the
second to pull away for good.

Buckfield 58, Calvary Chapel 47

BUCKFIELD — Kasey Robertson poured in 15 points and hauled down 12 rebounds to lead Buckfield to a 58-47 victory over Calvary Chapel in a EWC boys’ basketball tilt Wednesday.

Jarek Boyd chipped in for the Bucks (4-7) with 10 points in a balanced attack. Buckfield held a 31-24 advantage at the break and pulled steadily away in the third frame.

Calvary Chapel (1-8) was paced by Colby Downes and Billy Connell with 11 points each. 

Hyde 61, Rangeley 38

RANGELEY — Hyde jumped out to a commanding 27-8 lead in the first frame and never looked back as it ran away to a 61-38 rout over Rangeley in boys’ basketball action Wednesday.

Ted Carcos led Hyde with a game-high 19 points, while David Duncan chipped in with 14. 

The Lakers (2-9) were paced by Eric White with a solid 15-point effort, while Regan Sargeant chipped in with 10.

Rangeley 33, Hyde 21

RANGELEY — The Rangeley girls’ basketball squad jumped out to a 10-0 lead over Hyde in the first quarter, then ran off to a 33-21 victory Wednesday evening.

Alie Hammond led the Lakers (5-5) with 11 points, while Chantel Carrier chipped in with 10. 

Hyde (0-7) was paced by Shannon Vise and Alyssa Thomas with six points apiece, while Sage Harris added five. 

Hebron 38, Greater Portland Christian 26

PORTLAND — Janelle Bradish poured in a game-high 20 points to propel Hebron to a 38-26 victory over Greater Portland Christian (GPC) in a Prep School girls’ basketball matchup Wednesday.

Malorie Johnson chipped in for Hebron (6-3) with nine points, while Emma Leavitt added five. 

Liz Garland paced GPC (3-4) with a solid nine-point performance, while Andrea Ruiz added five.

Hebron 2, Kents Hill 1

HEBRON — Tayla Bent netted a goal with 3:18 left in regulation to lift Hebron to a 2-1 victory over Kents Hill in girl’s Prep School hockey action Wednesday. 

Emma Valli also tallied for Hebron to complete the scoring. Mariah Mosher made 27 saves on 28 shots in net for Hebron. Shaelie Dumont scored the lone goal for Kents Hill, while Alyssa Carvi turned aside 21 shots between the pipes.
