Whitney Ruff, a sophomore member of the Mountain Valley High School cheerleading squad, prepares for practice Wednesday afternoon at the Mexico Recreation Center. The 20-member squad won the Mountain Valley Conference competition last week for the eight straight time, and will compete in the regionals next week in Augusta.
