I am writing this in response to the In Sight feature on Jan. 12 about Greg Boardman, the strings teacher for Lewiston.
I had to take the time to write and say kudos to the Sun Journal for highlighting Boardman’s wonderful teaching efforts. My son, a fourth-grader at Martel Elementary School, has begun taking viola lessons with Boardman this year and it has been a wonderful experience for him. The man is patient, kind and, in my opinion, very well-suited to his job. He not only teaches the children strings, but stage presence and how to be respectful to the audience, as well.
My son looks forward to Wednesday every week, and his time with Boardman.
Mr. Boardman shares his love of music and it shows.
