NORWAY — The Western Mountains Alliance and the USDA Rural Development will have a workshop from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Second Congregational Church, 201 Main St.
The program will focus on two grant opportunities, the Value-Added Producer Grant and the Rural Energy for America Program. Both are federal programs of the USDA Rural Development.
The workshop may be of interest to value-added producers looking for funds to help develop a business or marketing plan or for those seeking working capital to operate a value-added business venture or alliance that would help them better compete in the marketplace.
It is also appropriate for agricultural producers that are interested in making energy efficiency improvements or considering installing a renewable energy system.
