FARMINGTON — The Farmington Warming Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 110 Academy St.

A meal of lasagna, beets, peas and onions, bread, apples, pineapple and ginger cookies will be provided by SeniorsPlus. A donation of $3 is requested, but any contribution will be appreciated.

A “Celebrate the New Year Feast” will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, hosted by the Old South Congregational Church on Main Street. The menu will include roast pork loin with stuffing, gravy, roasted potatoes, green bean casserole, four bean salad, fruit salad, scones and pineapple upside-down cake. Reservations are necessary for the meal and a donation of $6 is requested, if possible.

To reserve a meal for either day, call the Warming Center headquarters at 778-2163. Leave name and number of meals requesting.

The Warming Center staff must call in the number of meals needed 24 hours in advance. Soup is also available, free of charge, along with hot drinks and goodies each day.

In case of bad weather, the Warming Center will only close if SeniorsPlus of Lewiston has cancelled. People of all ages are welcome at the Warming Center.
