, 27, was booked at Cumberland County Jail in Portland.

Her arrest comes in the wake of a three-month investigation by county deputies which reconstructed the accident scene. A preliminary investigation showed the 1999 Ford station wagon driven by Robertshaw crossed the center line on Route 25 near Blake Road in Standish shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, according to published reports. The resulting accident killed Gilbert Howard, 76, of Standish, who was driving a 1995 Buick sedan.

Emergency workers used a Jaws of Life tool to free Howard from his car. Both cars were heavily damaged. Robertshaw reported having a panic attack shortly before the accident. She didn’t appear to be seriously hurt, according to published reports.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a press release Friday that Robertshaw was charged with manslaughter and aggravated operating under the influence. An investigation determined that she had been under the influence of several narcotics at the time of the crash; those narcotics included methadone. She was expected to be arraigned in Cumberland County Unified Court in Portland Friday at 1 p.m.
