Lucien G. Paradis Sr.
1946 – 2010
LEWISTON — Lucien Gerald “Pepe” Paradis Sr., 63, of East Poland died Sunday, Jan. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 26, 1946, the son of Peter and Eva Roy Paradis. He attended Auburn schools and faithfully served our country in the U. S. Army. He married Lena Whiting on April 4, 1980.
He worked for the public works department in Mechanic Falls. Lucien, known as “sureshot” loved working with his buddies at the public works, spending as much time with the two loves of his life, Gretchyn and Phoebe. He enjoyed working in the garage with his sons and Wednesday night races at Oxford Plains Speedway.
He was a very proud member for 20 years and current commander of American Legion Post 150 in Mechanic Falls. He loved hanging out with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lena of East Poland; four children, Joshua and Carrie of Sumner, Jeremy and his companion, Tanya, of Minot, Lucien Jr. and Tracy of Auburn and Michael and Emma of Lewiston; several grandchildren; his sisters, Ora LaCompte, Stella Brodeau, Irene Gauthier, Maryann Theriault and Pearl Fifield; his brothers, Armand and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the nurse’s on M1 at Central Maine Medical Center for the phenomenal care that he received.
