DEAR SUN SPOTS: What does the A symbol (an A in a circle) mean? It is with the washing instructions on the yarn we buy. — No Name, Greene

ANSWER: It means that the yarn, and whatever you make out of it, can be dry cleaned.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your column every day. In response to the lady from South Paris looking for a pumpkin chocolate-chip cookie recipe, I would like to give her mine. I am also from South Paris. This is a very good cookie, makes a lot.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In the Jan. 14 column, someone was looking for a regular size (1 pound) bean pot. I believe I have that size for her. The set comes with four individual bowls for serving. She did not put a number to call, but if she reads this and is still interested, I may be reached at 784-8388.

I am also looking for some places who want to give some of their boxes away. I am helping out emptying a home and need to pack things. Small and medium boxes that can be closed and taped would be so appreciated. I am 73 and can’t lift big boxes. Please leave name and number, and I will get back to you. Keep up the great services! — No Name, Lewiston

DEAR SUN SPOTS: To the lady from South Paris, I have the card table she is looking for. My phone number is 782-6604. — M. Madore, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Please help. Three specially made teddy bears — two brown, one white — were accidentally placed in back of a green van at JCPenney on Friday, Jan. 15, in the morning. These mean a lot to us, so it would great to have them back. Call 375-4393. — Doris, Sabattus
