FARMINGTON — The driver of a vehicle forced off the Wilton Road on Wednesday night was not injured, Farmington police officer Bridgette Gilbert said.

Mark Ancker, 62, of Industry was traveling east toward Farmington when the unknown driver of a black truck attempted to move into his lane, just past The Oliver Store. It caused Ancker’s van off the road, flipping it into the snow, she said.

Witnesses were unable to provide a registration number but described the black truck, which left the scene.

Emergency personnel were first alerted that a man was trapped in the overturned van but when Gilbert arrived, Ancker was out of the vehicle and unhurt, she said.

Farmington Fire and Rescue and NorthStar ambulance were also at the scene of the 5:44 p.m. crash.
