AUBURN — Myq Kaplan, who made his late-night television debut in December on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” will headline Fireside Comedy Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Fireside Inn & Suites.

Kaplan, whose 30-minute Comedy Central special is scheduled to air later this year, will be joined by Boston Comedy Riots finalist Matt D., Steve Albert and special guest Bill Picard of Lewiston.

In 2007, Kaplan finished second in both the Boston Comedy Festival and Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight. In 2006, he was a semifinalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and the Seattle Comedy Competition. He’s also won Boston University’s Funniest Student Contest.

A Boston native, Kaplan now lives in New York and performs at clubs around the city.

The Fireside Inn offers comedy every Saturday night with top headliners from around New England. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 at the door, $12 with a reservation.
