William E. Steele
1947 – 2010

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — William E. Steele, 62, of Daytona Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Jan. 17, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 15, 1947, the son of William F. and Ernestine A. Steele. He was employed at Ridgecrest Park Apartments. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, flea markets and carpentry. He served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Brenda Carter of Daytona; a son, Jameson D. Steele; daughter, Danica L. Cockrell and husband, Jeff; his former wife, Sandra Steele; his father, William F. Steele; brothers, Barry Steele and Melanie, of Missouri, and Scott Steele and Cheryl, of Hartford; sisters, Sharyn Steele of Auburn, Patsy Chan of California, and Janet Lashua and Mike, of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ernestine A. Steele; brother-in-law, Paul Chan; and sister-in-law, Roxi Steele.
