The Public Theatre will present the award-winning, thought-provoking comedy “Visiting Mr. Green” through Feb. 7. When Mr. Green, an elderly Jewish dry cleaner, played by New York actor Kenny Morris, left, walks into the path of an oncoming car driven by a yuppie named Ross, played by Boston-based actor Paul Melendy, right, a judge requires the young man to pay weekly visits to Mr. Green. What starts out as an “Odd-Couple” style comedy about two worlds colliding becomes a poignant story about the dangers of isolation and intolerance. Shows are at 7 p.m. Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday.  For tickets, call 782-3200. The Public Theatre is at Maple and Lisbon streets in Lewiston.
