First Auburn Seniors

AUBURN — The First Auburn Seniors will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Hasty Community Center. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. and President Angie Jipson will conduct the 11 a.m. meeting.

There will be a spaghetti lunch, originally planned for Jan. 20. Members are reminded to bring cups and utensils. Prior to lunch, Tish Caldwell will speak briefly on the topic of health and wellness. Bingo will be played after lunch.

The monthly raffle table will be
available. Meal tickets will be on sale, for $4, for the Valentine party to be held
on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Dessert for the party will be ice cream sundaes. 

Cribbage results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 28 were: first, Irene Beauchesne and Sue Dunlap; second, Anita Cusson and Roger Patry; third, Anna Faucher and Robert Cielinski; fourth, Shirley Labonte and Steve Agurkis; fifth, Pat Records and Bob Leclair.

Don Haley was welcomed to the league. The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4. For further information, call Roger Labbe at 212-9253.

Grange to meet

WALES — Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet for supper at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Wales Grange. The program, which starts at 7:30, will feature a member of the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department who will speak on the art of self defense.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and an attendance drawing. All members and guests are welcome to attend. 

Snow Fest

LEWISTON — The Hillside Family Riders Snowmobile Club will
host Snow Fest from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6 and 7, at No Name
Pond.

The
fundraising event will generate money to put back into the local trail
system for things such as maintaining the trails and for signs. Events will
include snowmobile, four-wheeler and dirt bike radar runs; a vintage
snowmobile show and parade; music; food; and grooming equipment.
Admission is free.

Cooking challenge

LISBON — The Lisbon High School Athletic Boosters and Oak Hill Boosters will have the first annual Chili, Chowder and Chocolate Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Lisbon High School cafeteria. Businesses and residents are welcome to register for the event.
