The Mountain Valley High School cheerleaders dominated the competition at the Mountain Valley Conference championship to win their eighth consecutive league title Jan. 9 at Jay High School. Mountain Valley topped its first-round score of 124 with a total of 127.5 in the final. Monmouth was second with 108.8, followed by Madison with 98.6. The Falcons later qualified through Western Maine Class B competition to compete in the state championship meet this Saturday in Augusta. Linda and Kassie Burns coach the team.
