PARIS — A 27-year-old man was ordered to serve three-and-a-half years behind bars Friday after entering a plea to several burglaries and thefts.

Jeremy R. Beane, who had Hebron and Poland addresses in different court documents, appeared before Justice Robert Clifford in the Oxford County Superior Court.

The bulk of Beane’s charges stem from a string of burglaries in Minot, Auburn and Poland between March and October. He was indicted in Androscoggin County in November on eight counts of burglary, nine counts of theft, and three counts of violation of conditions of release. He was accused of stealing video game systems, jewelry, cash, a firearm, and other items.

Beane pleaded guilty to seven of the burglary charges and six theft charges.

Beane’s cases also included:

• A guilty plea to a charge of theft. Beane was accused of using two stolen credit cards in Hebron in May 2008. A charge of misuse of identification was dismissed.
A guilty plea to a charge of forgery accusing him of writing false checks amounting to $1,335 in Bethel in April 2008. A charge of theft of the checks was dismissed.

• A guilty plea to unlawful possession of heroin in Auburn in November 2008. The plea dismissed charges of violation of conditions of release, operating after suspension, and the criminal forfeiture of $650.51.

• A guilty plea to a charge of receiving stolen property. Beane was charged with attempting to use checks that had been stolen from a Minot residence in February 2009.

• A guilty plea to the burglary of a Buckfield residence and theft of a firearm in February 2009. Charges that he damaged a screen and stole electronic equipment, including cameras and a DVD player, were dismissed.

• A guilty plea to the burglary of a Hebron residence in April. A theft charge accusing him of stealing a Playstation 3 and power tools was dismissed.

• A guilty plea to receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of heroin, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and violation of bail conditions. A search of Beane’s residence in Hebron in April discovered a stolen laptop, as well as spoons and a plastic bag with heroin and methamphetamine residue.

  All but three-and-a-half years were suspended from a nine-and-a-half year prison sentence. In addition, Beane must not use or possess alcohol or illegal drugs, submit to a random search for such items, undergo substance abuse counseling, and pay $16,174.51 in restitution to 14 different individuals or couples.
