AUBURN — Local businessman Frank Preble of Auburn will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Auburn Art Club at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.

Preble is the chairman of the board of governors of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Mass., and he will highlight
the unique aspects of the 22 hospital system with a focus on the Springfield facility. Shriners Hospitals for Children has been providing care for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns injuries and cleft lip and palette without cost to the patient or family for more than 85 years.

Preble will also touch on the cutting edge research being performed within the Shriners system as well as the medical assistance being provided to the Haitian earthquake victims.

The meeting will be held at the Auburn Methodist Church,  Park Avenue. The chairwoman for the program is Beverly Preble and her committee includes Dorothy Murray and Barbara Randall.
