LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women, a local drop-in center for women, formerly known as Wisdom’s Center, has announced its February programs, including a series of events called “Wisdom for your Life: Workshops to Make Your Life Better!” All programs in the series will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

A dental care workshop will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, with Auburn dentist Dr. Robert Limoges, who started the local Dentistry With a Heart clinics.

A pet care workshop will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 10, by a guest from the Androscoggin Humane Society, followed by a program on softening and managing pain on Friday, Feb. 12, with Peg Hoffman, occupational therapist. Information and resources will be provided at each workshop.

The center is also beginning an ongoing group called “You are Not Alone!” which will focus on building confidence and self esteem. The purpose will be to learn about and practice ways to enjoy life more, supporting participants in moving on and up in their journey. The group will meet every other week beginning Thursday, Feb. 4.

All events at the center are offered free of charge. No registration is needed. A complete calendar is available on the Web site at www.wisdomswomen.org.
