AUBURN — Catherine and Jim Bouquet of Auburn and Erik and Lisa Bateman of Long Beach, Calif., are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, Curtis Dillon Bateman, to Nancy Beatrice Perschbacher, daughter of Kim Everist of Davis, Calif., and Rex Perschbacher and Debbie Bassett of Sacramento, Calif.

Miss Perschbacher received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 2003 and her master’s degree in museum studies from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2007. She is currently an artifacts collections manager at the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Bateman graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 2001. He received his bachelor’s degree in classical archaeology at Bowdoin College in 2005 and his master’s degree in museum studies from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2008. Mr. Bateman is currently the artifacts collections manager at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) headquarters in Washington, D.C. He is a third degree Master Mason at the Potomac Lodge No. 5 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

The wedding will take place Oct. 10 in Leesburg Va.
