FARMINGTON — Three people received minor injuries Tuesday morning when two vehicles collided on the Farmington Falls Road where it connects with High Street.

Stacey Dill, 28, of New Sharon driving a black Chevy SUV was attempting to leave the LEAP parking lot, where she is employed, to cross over and enter High Street, said Farmington Police Officer Darin Gilbert.

Her vehicle collided with a Dodge Neon heading East on the Falls Road (Route 2) driven by Joseph Scromm, 64, of Livermore Falls. Both Scromm and a passenger, Micah Smith, 31, complained of soreness but were not treated.

Dill was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar ambulance with complaints of neck pain and stiffness, Gilbert said. She was treated and released according to a hospital representative later Tuesday afternoon.

Both vehicles, Gilbert estimated, were totaled and hauled from the scene by Dutch Gap Auto and Farmington Towing.

Dill, who told the officer she couldn’t see around the LEAP sign to see the other vehicle coming, was given a traffic citation for failing to yield, Gilbert said.

Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue responded to the scene to help with traffic control and clean up.
