LEWISTON — Capt. Roger Beaudoin recently retired from the Lewiston Fire Department after serving for more than 41 years.

He was appointed Jan. 18, 1969, was promoted to lieutenant in 1978, was promoted to captain in 1981, and has served in that position ever since on Platoon C. He officially retired Jan. 31.

His job as captain entailed being in charge of his daily shift, and he also had the responsibility of maintaining all four fire station buildings in the city. His retirement goals include enjoying more Florida weather.
