UPTON, Maine (AP) — An official says a 30-year-old woman who was fatally shot in the head was found on property in a small, isolated town in western Maine where her in-laws owned a home and nearly 200 acres of land.

Kelly Winslow’s body was found by state police detectives in Upton on Friday, the day after her husband, Patrick Dapolito, reported her missing from their home in Limington.

Her death has been ruled a homicide. Police have released few details.

Upton Town Clerk Jim Rector said Dapolito’s parents live in Upton, a town of about 65 people on the New Hampshire border, but have been in Florida where they typically go for a month or two each winter.

Winslow’s obituary says she and Dapolito had recently married.
