LIVERMORE — Registration for the kindergarten and the kindergarten for 4-year-olds programs have been announced for residents of Livermore and Livermore Falls. Registration will be held on Friday, April 2.

Residents with children who will be 5-years-old on or before Oct. 15 are asked to set an appointment for kindergarten registration. If a child is attending the kindergarten program for 4-year-olds, it is not necessary to attend kindergarten registration.

Children who will be 4-years-old on or before Oct. 15 are eligible to attend the district’s kindergarten for 4-year-olds program in the fall. Selection of 4-year-old participants will occur after the initial screening process has been completed. Participants will need to meet the criteria of the program to qualify. Criteria include looking at eligibility for Head Start as well as student scores on assessment given during the registration.

The registration process for both programs will include gathering student identification information, a brief interaction between the child and teacher and a review of the child’s medical history. Parents are asked to bring their child’s official birth certificate, Social Security card and immunization record.

An appointment may be set by calling the school at 897-3355 or stopping by the school office at any time prior to Thursday, April 1.
