EDNA G. HOLMAN

1920 – 2010

DIXFIELD – Edna G. Holman, 90, of Common Road in Dixfield, died Friday, March 26, at her daughter’s residence following a brief illness.

She was born in Mexico, on Jan. 20, 1920, a daughter of Milo and Vesta (Weeks) Wing.

Edna was educated in Mexico Schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School, Class of 1938.

She married Arlie B. Holman on June 7, 1940. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Edna will be remembered as a wonderful cook and hostess.

She was a member of the Dixfield Common Baptist Church and served as their pianist for over 60 years.

Edna loved knitting, crocheting and doing puzzles.

Surviving are her children, Robert A. Holman and wife, Dianne, of Dixfield, Geraldine H. Viitala and husband, Gilbert, of Greenbush and Peter D. Holman of Dixfield; four grandchildren, Andrew Holman, Bethany Miller, Eric Viitala and Heidi Crouse; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, John, Jordan, Tyler, and Brandon.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arlie B. Holman, in 1991; a daughter, Ann Holman; two grandchildren, Jade and Dane Holman; and a sister, Elsie Bauer.
