Ida Mae Maillet
1927-2010
MEXICO – Ida Mae Maillet, 82, died Thursday, March 25, at her residence on Highland Terrace in Mexico.
Born in Rumford on Oct. 15, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Alida (Cloutier) Lefebvre. She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford. She worked at the 5 & 10 store, Diamond Match, Bass Shoe, and she and her husband owned and operated Maillet’s Twist Treat.
She was married in Rumford on Nov. 27, 1947, to Leo Maillet who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include a son, Lee Maillet and his wife, Diane, of Tennessee; two daughters, Rita Bolduc and her husband, Gil, of Mexico and Nancy Fleck and her husband, Ray, of Turner; four grandchildren, Kristine Markuns of Massachusetts, Leo P. Bolduc of Byron, Chad Arsenault of Orono and Stephanie Zand of Massachusetts; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Rita Moskus and Isabelle Cressey .
