A pile of stone is all that is left of an angel monument on Monday. It was in October 2009 on the side of Route 17 on Livermore Falls. Don Simoneau of Fayette found the sculpture near Moose Hill Pond, not far from his home, and discovered last week that it had been destroyed. It made it through the winter, he said on March 24, and it had been destroyed within a couple of days.
As mysteriously as a stone angel monument was erected in October of 2009 on the side of Route 17 in Livermore Falls, it was demolished, Don Simoneau of Fayette said. This picture was taken in November 2009, a couple weeks after Simoneau discovered it near Moose Hill Pond, about a half-mile from his home in Fayette. The monument had made it through the winter but he discovered last week that it had been destroyed recently.
