Edith G. Rusinek
1941 – 2010
AUBURN — Edith G. Rusinek of 227 Summer St., Auburn, passed away on March 28.
She was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Portland, to Elizabeth Mae (Kennedy) and Maynard Sprague. She loved taking care of all her pets, from her love for her birds, both inside and outside, to the cats and most importantly, her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Max. She also spent many hours attending to her gardens around her house in the summer and during the winter months her houseplants.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew E. Rusinek of Auburn; a son, Christopher G. Nailon and his wife, Michelle, of Connecticut; her daughter, Sara E. Rusinek of Auburn; and her three grandchildren, Brittany A. Nailon of South Carolina, plus Megan and Zachary Nailon of Connecticut.
The family would like to thank the doctors, staff and employees of Central Maine Medical Center and Androscoggin Home and Care and Hospice for their care and compassion during Edith’s battle with cancer. We also want to thank doctors Michael Stadnicki (who took extra care of Edith over the years), Dr. James Timoney, Dr. Nichollette Erickson, plus Drs. Edward and Candace Walworth.
