The group consisted of a male saxophone player, a female singer and guitar player and a male playing the keyboard. I would also like to know if it is possible to purchase a DVD of this group. ANSWER: Sun Spots called the Livermore Falls Town Office, hoping they would know who had played at the gazebo recently, but there have been no shows there since last summer, so what you saw was a broadcast of a previous performance, which means it could have been from last summer or even a previous summer.

If you have the exact date of the broadcast you saw, you might be able to get that information from Channel 7. Or perhaps a reader will recognize the group and be able to assist.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am trying to find out whatever happened to the Boston Celtics players Scalabrine (a redhead) and Landry, whom they obtained from the New York Knicks. Thank you from a daily reader and subscriber. — Peggy L., Brunswick

ANSWER: For this question, Sun Spots went to the Sun Journal’s sports editor, Steve Sherlock. Steve said that Brian Scalabrine played the last couple of games after being hurt . As for Marcus Landry, these days he’s using his talents for the Portland Red Claws.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I wanted to thank one of your readers, Cindy Guerin, LCSW, for mentioning our services in your column. DEAR SUN SPOTS: You recently published my letter, in which I was looking for Hector Morales or Jesus Bedia. Well, guess what? Jesus Bedia lives in Texas. He called Saturday morning saying he was stationed at Utapao, Thailand, and remembers me from working on the base. I had a few veterans call me from the article, and one veteran found him. Thank goodness for our Vietnam vets who never got the applause when they came home. Thanks, Sun Spots, it does work. — Ed Quinn, Livermore Falls

DEAR SUN SPOTS: About a month ago I stopped in front of the Sun Journal/Rumford Falls Times office at 5 a.m. to pick up a TV Preview. When I went to get back into my car, my leg slipped and went under my car. I laid there for quite a while calling for help. Finally, a good Samaritan stopped to help me up.

He later called my home to see how I was doing, but I was pretty shaken up and half asleep when he called. I never got his name or properly thanked him. I would like the person to kindly call me again. Thank you. — Gerard Valley, 364-8658

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Hoping you can help me find my father’s ring. To the person who found a Livermore Falls High School class ring, please call me at 897-6946. The ring was a 1919 or 1920 with the initials AVJ on the inside. I believe it was my father’s. It was was found at Brettus Pond in 1986 or 1987.
