James Z. Schultz

1934 – 2010

WINTHROP — James Z. Schultz, 75, of Winthrop, died Saturday, March 27, at his home.

He was born in East Norriton, Pa., Dec. 3, 1934, the son of Leroy R. and Frances (Ziegler) Schultz. He was a graduate of Penn State University, Class of 1957 and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta, Fraternity.

He spent time in the Army Reserve. He was in human resources for American Olean Tile Co. for 28 years and worked for a time at Harleysville National Bank, retiring in 2003.

He was an avid skier and loved hunting and fishing, especially in Cape May, N.J. He enjoyed sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was past president of the Norristown Ski Club and member of the Clipo Hunting Club, of Potter County, Pa. He attended the Church of the Holy Spirit Episcopal in Harleysville, Pa. He and his wife, Cassandra, moved to Winthrop three and a half years ago.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Shawn Schultz and his wife, Jenora, of Monmouth, Catherine Steele and her husband, Nathan, of Harleysville, Pa., and Michael Schultz of Harleysville, Pa.; his sister, Janet Musselman and her husband, the Rev. William Musselman, of Worcester, Pa.; and two grandsons, Samuel and Noah Schultz.
