PARIS — April’s after-school events at the Paris Public Library will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesdays. at 4:00. The first two Tuesdays will honor Hans Christian Anderson, Danish author of 165 tales, whose birthday month is April. The last 2 Tuesdays will revolve around Earth Day. The schedule of stories and activities is as follows:

April 6: “The Ugly Duckling,” autobiographical story of Anderson’s life as a child, followed by crafting a pair of origami swans.

April 13: “Thumbelina,” followed by fingerprint art.

April 20: A story from Barefoot Earth Tales followed by crafting an earth pendant or lightcatcher.

April 27: “The Great Kapok Tree,” a tale of the Amazon rain forest followed by the game, Endangered Sudoku.
