FARMINGTON — Midget is the Pet of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. Midget is described as a sweet and laid back cat who likes to play every so often.

Staff said some of her best features are her double paws and brown tabby markings. She is friendly; however, she picks and chooses her feline friends. A home without dogs is the home for her, staff said.

She has been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccines. Those interested can meet her at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

New dogs include a black spaniel mix and a black lab mix.

The shelter will host a benefit dinner at the Old South Church on Friday, April 9. There will be two seatings, at 5 and at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing may purchase tickets at the shelter. During the dinner there will be a silent auction and a Chinese auction. All proceeds will benefit the animals. Call for more information at 778-2638.
