LIVERMORE — The select board voted to send a draft special amusement ordinance to the town attorney to review at an estimated cost of $825, town administrative assistant Kurt Schaub said Friday.

The Planning Board put together the ordinance based on the one Fairfield uses.

The ordinance would cover all forms of live entertainment at premises licensed to sell alcohol, Schaub said.

It outlines restrictions of where special amusement could take place and how far away from schools, churches and parks, among other specific entities.

The goal is to have this and the previously completed Mass Gathering Ordinance draft ready for public hearing in early May and on the warrant to go before voters at the June town meeting,” Schaub said.
