Incident Report Statistics:

Between 6 p.m. March 28 and 6 p.m. April 4, patrol officers responded to 81 complaints.

Arrests/Summonses:

On March 29 – 10 a.m., Mark Gallant, 49, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with sale or use of drug paraphernalia on Cumberland Street. Gallant is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 4.

On April 1 – 4:05 p.m., Joseph Turner, 28, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Scott Landis on a warrant for unpaid fines on an assault at the Police Department after turning himself in. Turner posted $395 cash bail and was released.

On April 1 – 4:25 p.m., Genevieve Marston, 36, of Mexico was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with stealing drugs and violating conditions of release on Waldo Street. Marston was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in South Paris Superior Court on July 16.

On April 3 – 5:55 a.m., Shawn Comeau, 28, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Dennis Ryder with domestic assault and terrorizing on Erchles Street. Comeau was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 8.

Assault:

On April 1 — 5:15 p.m., Ellis River Road resident reporting her juvenile son assaulted her. Officer responded and handled the complaint.

Burglary:

On April 2 — 7:42 p.m., Somerset Street resident reporting her shed had been broken into by juveniles. The case is under investigation.

On April 4 — 6:59 a.m., Route 108 resident reporting someone attempted to break into his shed during the night. The case is under investigation.

Criminal mischief:

On April 2 — 8:49 p.m., Somerset Street resident reporting someone keyed her car. The case is under investigation.

On April 3 — 11:39 a.m., Cumberland Street resident reporting damage to a door and some windows in a vacant residence on Lincoln Avenue. The case is under investigation.

Wanted

Jolene Putnam, 35, of Peru is wanted on three Superior Court warrants for operating after suspension, operating under the influence and illegal possession of drugs.
