FREEPORT — A benefit for Mike and Sara Huston and family will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at Pine Tree Academy.

Mike was injured in a fall on Feb. 15 while working on a roof. He underwent two successful surgeries and returned home from the hospital on Feb. 23. He is self-employed as a builder and it is unclear when he will be able to return to his work as his injuries heal. Mike and Sara have six children. 

The goal for the benefit is to be able to offer financial assistance so that their attention can be focused on Mike’s recovery.

At the benefit, a gourmet luncheon buffet will be provided by Chef Oleg Opalnyk and Chef David DePalma. The buffet will include artichoke dip with rosemary and onion focaccia, Greek Caesar salad, choice of vegan shepherd’s pie or pastitio (Greek pasta) with assorted roasted root vegetables, gelato with biscotti and beverages
