DEAR SUN SPOTS: Governor’s Restaurant second annual campaign to support the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society is set for April 19. On that day only, 10 percent of all sales and server tips at the Governor’s at 1185 Lisbon St. in Lewiston will be given to the GAHS.

Also, for the entire month of April Governor’s will be collecting donated supplies — items such as animal food, toys the animals can play with, cleaning and office supplies, etc. — to help the GAHS operate.

In return for a donation, we will be doing a drawing for a $25 Governor’s gift card. Please help us to have another successful campaign to help the animals. For more information, call 753-0173 or visit http://helpinganimals.timewinds.net/Animals/Prevent_Animal_Cruelty.html. Thank you. — Matthew Agren

ANSWER: When you are at the Web site, click on the word “Obituaries,” instead of the arrow for the drop-down window. We are still working on the site, so not everything is available online, but the most recent obituaries should be there.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We would like to thank all of the friends and businesses that made the benefit at the Shak last month a huge success. It makes us proud to be part of such a caring and giving community.

Thanks, Dana, for the use of the Shak, and a special thanks goes to the five bands — Smith Crossing, Matt and the Barn Burners, One Step Ahead, The Hooligans and Monsta — that donated their time to provide the entertainment for the afternoon.

The biggest thank you goes to our daughter, Rosalie Fifield, who coordinated the efforts of her friends, Dan, Pam, Tammy, Rod, Mike, Opie and Deano, who worked to gather donations, advertise, manage the stage, serve dinners, work the door and run the raffles. Thank you all so very much. We love you. — Haydn and Rosemarie Jones
