FARMINGTON — The wedding of Jennie Bouchard and Brian Young was held on Aug. 15 in Farmington at the home of the bridegroom’s mother. The couple was blessed with a warm and beautiful day.

The bride is the daughter of Raymond Bouchard Sr. of Auburn and the late Lisa (Howe) Bouchard of Lewiston. The bridegroom is the son of Roxanne and the late Ralph Grant of Farmington.

 The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with a pink sash around the waist and top. She carried a bouquet of roses, tulips and hydrangea mixed.

 Karen Ayer, long time friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Carrie Adams, friend of the bride, and Katie Rideout, niece of the bride. Valerianne, daughter of the bride, and Lorna, daughter of the matron of honor, were flowers girls.

 Mike Warren, long-time friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Mike Young, brother of the bridegroom, and Kevin McCutchin, friend of the bridegroom. Bretton, son of bridesmaid Carrie, was the ring bearer.

 A reception immediately followed, after which the couple traveled to South Portland and Old Orchard Beach for a three-day honeymoon.

 The bride is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School and Thomas College and is a student at Kennebec Valley Community College, where she plans to graduate in 2010.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School and served in the U.S. Navy for a short time.
