LEWISTON — A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Eugenie Baillargeon was celebrated Saturday at Holy Family Church Prince of Peace Parish following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Maurice Morin celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of Mass, Eugenie’s grandchildren, Tammy and Jaime Baillargeon, draped their grandmother’s casket with the burial pall which commemorates her Baptism into new life.

During the Mass, Eugenie’s grandson, Andre Baillargeon Jr., read the First Reading. The offertory was brought to the altar by Eugenie’s sons, Andre and Nelson Baillargeon. The Prayer of the Faithful was read by granddaughter Diane Baillargeon.

Delegations present at the Mass were the Ladies of St. Anne of Holy Family Parish. Words of remembrance were expressed by granddaughter Kathy Baillargeon. During the committal prayers at the cemetery, the Intercessions were read by granddaughter Linda Baillargeon. Pallbearers were Eugenie’s grandchildren David, Linda, Bob, Diane, Norm, Andy and Michael Baillargeon, and great-grandson, Chris Baillargeon.

A reception of fellowship was held at the Knights of Columbus following the services at the cemetery. Arrangements by Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
