Deadline extended

OXFORD — The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District has extended the deadline to order compost bins, rain barrels, brook or rainbow trout and conifers. Orders will be accepted through Friday, April 23.

Call the office at 743-5789, ext. 101 or find order forms on the Web site at www.oxfordswcd.net and click on “District Sales” on the home page. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to fund conservation programming.

Yard sale

WATERFORD — The first indoor yard sale of the season will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 17, in the Wilkins Community House basement at the base of Plummer Hill Road, next to the church.

All proceeds will benefit the church and the Wilkins House maintenance fund.

Volunteers needed

BRYANT POND — The Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center is seeking volunteers for the annual camp clean-up day on Saturday, April 24. Work will begin at 8 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to help set up tents, rake, clear brush from trails, spruce up garden beds and for light construction and carpentry projects. Lunch will be provided. Call 665-2068 for more information and to sign up to volunteer.

Public supper

NORWAY — The Norway Fireman’s Relief Association will hold a roast pork supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Norway Fire Station.

The menu will consist of roast pork, salads, vegetables, rolls, beverages and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults; $3 for children under 12; free for children under 6.

Bean supper

NORWAY — A public bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Norway Masonic Lodge Hall,  9 Temple St. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

There will be four types of beans, hot dogs, bread, drinks and homemade pies. Takeout trays will be available. For more information, contact verrillkenneth@yahoo.com or call 739-9672.

Meeting and auction

NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will hold the annual April auction at the monthly meeting on Thursday, April 15, at the Norway Municipal Building, Danforth Street.

Proceeds form the auction will go into the general fund. Items to be auctioned include several fishing and camping items as well as homebaked, homemade and homegrown items. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper, followed by the auction. All are welcome.
