NORWAY – Four people are now running for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

Town Clerk Shirley Boyce said Monday that Wesley Wentworth, a former library trustee and current member of the Budget Committee, has taken out nomination papers for one of two seats on the five-member board.

He joins board Chairman Bruce Cook, Selectman Irene Millet and newcomer Michael W. Twitchell, a Greenwood Road resident who runs a drywall business.

Donald Ware, longtime member of the Oxford Hills School Board of Directors, and Norway Memorial Library Trustee Hilary Ware have both taken out nomination papers for re-election to those posts.

Library trustees Charles Longley and Karen Austin are also up for re-election but had not taken out nomination papers as of Monday afternoon.

Boyce said nomination papers must contain signatures of at least 25 registered voters but no more than 100, and be returned to her office by the filing deadline of April 26 for the candidate’s name to be placed on the June 8 annual town meeting ballot.
