Public meal

EAST WILTON — The Wilton Lodge 156, Maine Lodge 20, Jepthah Council 17, Franklin Chapter 34 and Pilgrim Commandery 19 will host a public meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Harland Harnden Masonic Lodge Building, 70 Bryant Road.

The menu will include baked ham, vegetables, rolls and homemade desserts. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the Building Fund. The building holds the lodge but also has a large dining hall and kitchen. Dining hall rentals are also available for small gatherings.

Grange open house

EAST DIXFIELD — In conjunction with National Grange Month, Mystic Valley Grange, Route 2, will hold a Grange open house on Saturday, April 17. A public brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by a 1 p.m. program with a Community Citizen Award, music and speaker. All are welcome.

Retired educators

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Retired Educators will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, April 19, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road.

Finance workshop

FARMINGTON — Women, Work and Community will hold a “Financing Your Future” training from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 29 through May 27, at 108 Perham St., Suite A.

Participants will explore their attitudes and beliefs about money, look at their current financial situation, create a savings plan and discuss wise use of credit. Money management tools and budgeting ideas will be taught.

Music show

SALEM — The Salem Pine Tree Club will sponsor a music show with A&E’s Hill County Music from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at the Salem Community Building. A donation box will be at the door. Refreshments will be on sale.

Library program

STRONG — The Strong Public Library invites children of all ages (and interested adults) to the library on Saturday, April 17. State Rep. Tom Saviello will be the guest reader during story time from 11 to 11:30 a. m. Cookies and punch will be served.

Saturday library hours are from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. for those wishing to check out a book, audiobook, magazine or movie.
