LEWISTON — L/A Arts invites the public to an artist talk featuring Jody Dube on Friday, April 16, at L/A Arts Gallery 5. A featured artist in the current exhibition, “. . . scapes,” four of Dube’s untitled ceramic plates may be seen in the gallery through May 29.

Dube has been working mostly in clay for about 30 years and has taught ceramics at Lewiston High School for nine years.

He will speak about the journey an artist must often commit to, resulting in personal growth. “If you stick to what you already know you can do or what you already have seen, there is little value to that,” Dube said.

Artist talks are free, with reservations encouraged by calling L/A Arts at 782-7228.

The artist talk will be from from 6 to 7 p.m. Gallery 5 hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Gallery 5 is at 49 Lisbon St.
