AUBURN — A Fabric and Craft Supply Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St.
At the fair, crafters gather up all the fabric and supplies they bought and never used, and rent a table and sell them to other crafters. This year 18 tables have been rented, the maximum that available space allows, plus the church uses an additional eight tables to sell donated items.
This is the 10th year the church has been holding the fundraiser. Some of the proceeds have gone to special projects within the church and in recent years, the money raised has gone to the general operating budget. The fair began when a church member went to a similar sale in Connecticut. In the 10 years, table renters have increased from three to 18, and organizers recognize many of the shoppers from year to year.
