Morse Zoo Preschool in Lisbon Falls participated in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon program and raised $1,866 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. More than 32 children participated in the two-week program. They learned bike safety lessons and the week ended with the participants bringing their trikes and riding toys to school and practicing the rules they learned. The Lisbon community sponsored participants by pledging an amount-per-lap the children rode or a one-time donation. Upon completion of the Trike-A-Thon, the children won prizes ranging from Trike-A-Thon T-shirts to Bikewell Bear or Pedals the Bunny plush toys. For more information about Trike-A-Thon, call 1-800-626-2453 or visit www.stjude.org/trike.
