LEWISTON — Northeast Bank has donated $1,000 to the Rebuilding Together L/A to help in the building and restoration of homes in the Lewiston-Auburn area.
In addition to the financial contribution, Northeast Bank employees will also join other volunteers in building a home this year begining on May 1 — National Rebuilding Day. This is the fifth year Northeast Bank has contributed to the Rebuilding Together organization and also the fifth year employees have volunteered to help build.
National Rebuilding Day occurs every spring and is the culmination of a year of planning, evaluating, training, organizing, fundraising and assembling the largest nationwide group of volunteers. People from all walks of life help to repair and restore houses and nonprofit facilities, revitalize communities and make a lasting impression on those families and individuals who are helped, according to organizers.
