AUBURN — A new slate of officers for Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, was installed on April 3 at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
Elsie Johnson was installed worthy matron and Stephen Broas, grand warder, worthy patron. Others installed were: Vicki Kelley, associate matron; Leslie Buzzell, associate patron; Betty Perkins, secretary; Mary Lawlor, treasurer; Mary Ann Perkins, conductress; Helena Woodhead, associate conductress; Ellen Broas, chaplain; Pamela Toussaint, marshal; Eleanor Peterson, organist; Amanda Carr, Adah; Sandra Dunlap, Ruth; Cynthia Matthews, Esther; Sharon McGilvery, Martha; Patricia Rea, Electa; and Mabel Soucy, warder.
Installing officers were: Judith A. Wilkie, associate grand matron, installing matron; John E. Wardwell, worthy grand patron, installing patron; Betty Perkins, past matron, marshal; Stephanie Dupal, grand conductress, chaplain; Elizabeth Wight, grand organist, organist; Josephine Dupal, past matron, Star Point Ceremony.
The installing Trio included Pamela Coombs, district deputy grand matron 11; Ruth Holden, district deputy grand matron 10; and John Coombs, past grand patron.
Distinguished guests present were John E. Wardwell, worthy grand patron; Robert P. Brown, Credentials Committee of General Grand Chapter and past grand patron; Bertha M. Cadigan, International Headquarters Committee of General Grand Chapter and past grand matron; William H. Stretton, past grand patron; John H. Coombs; Judith Wilkie; Corley Anne Byras, grand secretary; Stephanie Dupal; Kelly Landry, associate grand conductress; Elizabeth Wight, grand organist; Judith Tufts, grand Martha; Stephen Broas, grand warder; Sandra Dunlap, district deputy grand matron 4; Ruth Holden; and Pamela Coombs.
The following grand representatives brought greetings from their respective jurisdictions: Elaine Wardwell, Ohio; Roberta Coates, Rhode Island; Shining Stars, Helen Shelton and Esther Jean; Les Buzzell, past grand high priest of Royal Arch and past illustrious grand master of grand council.
Judith Wilkie introduced District 4 grand officers for 2010-11: Bernard Tufts, grand chaplain; Sandra Dunlap, grand marshal; and Judith Tufts, district deputy grand matron 4.
Refreshments were served in the dining hall after the installation.
