Phyllis T. Brackett

1920 – 2010

POLAND SPRING –  Phyllis T. Brackett, 89, passed away Friday, April 30, at her beloved home where she was born and had lived for 89 years.

 She was born in Poland Spring, Sept. 13, 1920, a daughter of Ralph and Betsy Bickford Brackett. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in the Class of 1938. She had worked for Boeing Aircraft in San Diego, Calif., Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut, and many years for Testa’s Restaurant in Bar Harbor and West Palm Beach, Fla., and retired in 1988 from Tambrands after 18 years of service.

 She enjoyed gardening, woodcraft, knitting and tole painting.

She is survived by many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

 The Brackett family would like to thank the staff of d’youville Rehabilitation Unit and St. Mary’s Hospital for their kindness, support and professionalism during the family’s difficult time. Also the nurses of Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice Care.
