LEWISTON – The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop series for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers titled “Music and Meditation.”
The series will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 6 through June 10, at the Dempsey Center, 10 High St. Presenter Ed Gabrielsen of Norway, will bring a wealth of experience as a musician, writer and educator.
Gabrielsen will teach methods of using meditation to train the mind to rest in healing silence and employ music as a gateway into silence. Participation is limited to five and early registration is encouraged.
