Worship service

SOUTH PARIS — The role of women in the early New Testament church will be the focus of the Mothers’ Day service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St. Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. service with Forest Perkins, organist, the choir and Renee Wales leading the Sunday School. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Child care will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Public buffet

WEST PARIS — A public buffet supper, featuring Finnish, American and other ethnic foods, will be held at the Finnish American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St., on Saturday, May 15, starting at 5 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. The dinner is sponsored by the Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine.

Bean supper

NORWAY —  A public baked bean supper will be held at the Norway Masonic Lodge Hall, 9 Temple St., from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 15. Cost is $7; children under 12, $4. There will be a variety of beans, hot dogs, bread, drinks and homemade pies.
