Kate McLaughlin of Durham has been inducted into the All Maine Women Honor Society of the University of Maine at Orono.
She is the daughter of Jim and Patty Mclaughlin of Durham and is a 2007 graduate of Brunswick High School.
All Maine Women is the highest all-inclusive honor society to which a University of Maine woman can belong. The society was founded in 1925 to recognize distinguished leadership, scholarship and service to the university and campus community. Members are considered consummate role models for UMaine women and only 12 women are selected each year for the honor.
McLaughlin is a junior in the nursing program, a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and has been actively involved in a wide range of campus activities and volunteer organizations.
